Florian Probst is a board-certified Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. He received his medical degree (MD) from Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2008 and his dental degree (DMD) from Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich in 2004. Academic internships at Harvard University Boston and the University of Hong Kong. Florian Probst completed his habilitation thesis (PhD) in 2018 at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich on the topic of „Imaging-based computer-assisted procedures in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery”. He currently works as a senior physician at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery, University Hospital, LMU Munich. His clinical and research interests include Computer-assisted oral and maxillofacial surgery in traumatology, orthognathic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and implantology, Virtual surgical planning, CAD/CAM-procedures, Patient specific implants (PSI), Black-bone MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and MRI-derived 3D surface models, MR-imaging of trigeminal nerve and Tissue Engineering of cranio-maxillofacial bone.
